President Vladimir Putin warned the West that Russia would attack a new target if the United States began supplying Ukraine with long -distance missiles, the Tass News Agency reported on Sunday.
If such missiles are provided, “We will attack targets that we have not hit,” Putin said as quoted in an interview quote with the Rossi-1 state television channel. Putin did not mention the name of the target planned by Russia to pursue if Western countries began to supply Ukraine with long-range missiles. He said the “commotion” around the western weapons supply to Ukraine was designed to issue conflict.Ukraine has been looking for several rocket launch systems (MLR) such as M270 and M142 Himars to attack troops and weapons supplies behind Russian troops.
US President Joe Biden announced this week’s plan to provide Ukraine Precision Himars Rocket Systems after receiving a guarantee from KYIV that they would not use it to reach the target in Russia.Although Russian officials have warned that US decisions to supply Ukraine with a sophisticated rocket system can worsen conflict, Putin said he would not bring fundamental changes on the battlefield.
