Mindhunter Season 3 Continues to Be on Indefinite Hold
Five seasons of the show were originally established but due to the nature of the show that had a large budget and viewers did not seem to be about the right sign, the show was put into “unlimited detention” with the players released from their contracts that allowed them to pursue them other jobs.This news returned in January 2020 with Netflix to tell Vulture:”David focused on directing his first Netflix film MANK and in producing the second season of Love, Death and Robots. He can review Mindhunter again in the future, but while feeling it is unfair for the actors to hold them from looking for other jobs when he is exploring his own new work. “
At the end of 2020, Fincher reiterated that the show was detained by saying:”Listen, for the viewers he has, it is a very expensive show. We talked about, ‘finish Mank and then see how you feel,’ but to be honest I don’t think we will be able to do it at a price of less than what I do the second season. Around the release time of Matrix 4 at the end of 2021, Jonathan Groff (who played the agent of Smith in his sequel) spoke to the THR and touched the future of Mindhunter.He referred to the decision to postpone the show as similar to the General Manager of Chicago Bulls Jerry Kracuse in connection with 1997-1998 where it would give a team to rebuild before he swung again.
