Korea and Spain defence majors ready to participate in 75 (I) submarine project

Although the Ministry of Defense has re -extended the deadline for submitting a proposal request (RFP) for advanced submarine projects until 30 November, Daewoo South Korea and Spanish Navantia have shown interest in building long -lasting durability diesel submarines under the strategic partnership model with the model with the model Strategic Partnership with a Strategic Partnership Model with a Strategic Winning Welfare with a Strategic Winning Welfare with a Strategic Partnership Model with The Partnership with Strategic Partnership Models with Indian Strategic Resilience. RFP was first released in July 2021 and extended until 30 November 2022, from 30 June 2022, the deadline.

The decision to extend the deadline is taken as a certain clause relating to “combined and some punishment” needs to be changed in the RFP document. The amended clause will be taken by the Defense Acquisition Committee (DAC) for immediate approval. Under the Strategic Partnership Model, India has identified the Mazagoan Docks Limited (MDL) and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to bind with foreign defense majors in South Korea, Spain, Germany, France, and Russia to build six Independent Air (AIP) Ships (AIP) Ships Diesel attacks for the Indian Navy at a cost of more than ₹ 40,000 crore.

Until now, South Korea’s Daewoo shipbuilding and sea engineering and Navantia Spanish company, which have proven AIP technology have shown interest in building submarines based on the Indian 75 Indian project. While the national security planner has considered expanding the ongoing 75 diesel project submarine project by expanding the production lines in MDL to three more submarines, the step is over -controlled for the fuel -based AIP project as the last has a higher durability and stronger.

In ordinary terms, diesel attack submarines must surface once a day to charge their diesel batteries, while the AIP submarine must appear once a week to do the same. Therefore, submarines equipped with AIP with ballistic missiles of land attacks are stronger weapons in equatorial waters due to lateral inversion in the tropics.

While the French Navy group, Russia Rosoboronexport and German TKMS have not shown interest with France which now focuses on nuclear-powered sub-surface platforms and Germany using the latest Lithium cell technology, the Department of South Korea and Spanish defense wants to participate in the project. Major South Korean Defense Daewoo has assigned the first AIP with the Ahn Changho submarine in 2019, while Spain Isaac Peral was launched on April 22, 2021 at Cartagena Shipyards. Both submarines have land attack missiles including ballistic and shipping missiles on boats.

The Indian Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has also developed AIP technology and will be installed on the 75 project submarine when they come to increase middle -aged age. The first of the six original Scorpene submarine submarines, Ins Kalveri, was assigned to the Indian Navy in 2017. Three more has been assigned to the Indian Navy since then.
