It took several months but Netflix officially made the announcement that Firefly Lane returned for the second season. The news was announced through their social media platform and on YouTube, where they had an actress Katherine Heigel and Sarah Chalke answered fan questions, and made an official announcement.The first season did not cover all the material from the novel, so there were still many stories of Tully and Kate left to be told. There is also a sequel to novels, flying, which expands further stories.Maggie Friedman has been confirmed to return as a Showrunner for the season 2. Michael Spiller (modern family, scrub) has led to season 2.
What to expect from Firefly Lane season 2

At the end of season 1, we are left with two very contrasting images of Tully and Kate’s relationship. New Cast Members for Firefly Lane Season 2
At the end of September 2021, Netflix announced four new additions to casts through the deadline. Ignacio Serrocchio, Argentina actor who will play Don West in a lost position in December 2021, has joined the Cast of Firefly Lane and arranged to play Danny Diaz. Danny is described as an arrogant sportscaster that has turned into a report and develops chemistry with Tully.
Greg Germann, who is known for his role in Anatomy Gray, will play Benediktus Binswanger in season 2 which is part of a influential logging family.India de Beaufort that appears in the extraordinary playlist Zoey and will also appear on Netflix’s Slumberland will play Charlotte. This character was described as a calm candidate journalist whose crush on Johnny Ryan.Finally, Jolene Purdy will play Justine Jordan in season 2 which is an optimistic talent agent with talent to maintain a positive attitude. Where is Firefly Lane season 2 in production and when will it be on Netflix?
Film Making for Season 2 will once again take place in Vancouver, Canada and have begun at the end of August 2021. We first learned that the season 2 was scheduled to begin filmmaking at the beginning of the year with the date of making the initial film that occurred between August 30 and production in several forms of running until April 20, 2022.
Katherine Heigl tweeted on August 24 to confirm that she returned to Vancouver to the 2-season film from Firefly Lane.Through various rolls and post Instagram, we can confirm that filming 2 season is ongoing.The release date for Firefly Lane Season 2, our best guess based on the production schedule at the last publication was mid to late 2022. That assuming production was not disturbed, of course.We received a small film update in mid-November 2021 via Twitter with grouping gyps together for an image. In March 2022, Katherine Heigl confirmed that they were only a few weeks away from the wrap (again, expected to occur on April 20.)
