Season 7 Filming And Release Date
The production for Grace & Frankie began shortly after the release of season 6, around January 27th, 2020. However, as the global pandemic took its toll, the production was abruptly shut down. The pandemic is the only reason that the earlier predicted release date, January 2021, became unattainable.
Recently, Jane Fonda had made it clear via her blog that the filming had restarted in early June 2021 and will continue to occur in Los Angeles, California, and is assumed to terminate in October 2021.
However, there is also news about the finale season to be released in two parts. The reason is that the audience has already waited a long time. Thus, to keep them connected and engaged, it is proposed that the first half can be made available earlier, and the second half of season 7 could premiere in early-to-mid 2022, depending on how long post-production takes.
