News flash! Netflix is ready once again with an exciting Asian American experience for its audience. The streamer has acquired the right to a ten-episode thirty minutes drama-comedy series called Beef from A 24 and its creator Sung-Jin Lee who is known for Silicon Valley and Dave Tuca and Bertie. Big names like Steven Yeun and Ali Wong have already been booked and signed for the lead roles in the series.During a Netflix Press release Sung-Jin shared his comments on the project with Netflix by saying that and we quote:”Ali Wong, Steven Yeun, A24, and Netflix. Even Jinny Howe who is the Vice president of Drama Development and Original Series at Netflix said that the streamer is excited and elated to collaborate with Lee Sung Jin and bring this incredible and rich series to life with the inimitable Steven Yeun and Ali Wong starring in it. In this work, Sung-Jin has created an outlandish and at times outrageous world. It is an honest and powerful study of two people who seek connection in the strangest of circumstances.
Along with being the stars of the series Steven Yeun and Ali Wong will also be the executive producers.
The plot of the series Beef:
Nothing as such is known about the storyline of beef, other than Netflix’s official logline, which states that the series is About two people who let a road rage incident register deep into their minds and allow it to slowly consume their thoughts and actions.

The cast and crew of Beef:
Steven Yeun and Ali Wong will be seen in the title roles of the series. This was announced by Netflix on 24 March 2021.
Yeun is best known for playing Glen in AMC’s The Walking Dead and received a nomination for best actor for his role in Minari. Wong is also well known for his performance in Always Be My Maybe, Baby Cobra, Hard Knock Wife, not only this she is also the author of the best-selling novel Dear Girls.
The productions status of Beef:
The Netflix series is set to have ten episodes of 30 minutes each.
The project is still in the early stages of production even when it was pitched in March 2021 to big-time bidders Amazon and Apple with Netflix ultimately winning the auction. As of October 2021, our sources tell us that the production of the series is set to begin in 2022.
