A armed man killed two people and injured two other people in a series of shootings near Vancouver in the early days of Monday, before being shot dead by the police, the authorities said.The previous report had suggested the attacker might target the homeless people, but this was not immediately confirmed by the authorities in Langley, a city of 130,000 people around one southeast of Vancouver.
“I can confirm that four people were shot by what was believed to be an armed man,” Police Chief Langley Ghalib Bhayani told a press conference. Two victims died, while the third – a woman – remained in a critical condition, and the fourth person was shot in the leg.Bhayani said the authorities were still working to identify the victims and suspects, and to determine whether there was a relationship between them.
